Pay employees in Nigeria

Pay your Nigeria team's salaries in one batch, with a receipt for every person.

ElephantFX helps reviewed companies pay salaries, commissions and contractor fees to staff in Nigeria. Prepare one payroll list, check each bank-returned account name, submit the batch from your NGN balance and download a receipt for every employee. Use sub-accounts so finance prepares and an owner approves. Payouts must be for genuine pay or service fees. ElephantFX does not give tax, pension or labour-law advice; please confirm payroll obligations with a local adviser. Eligibility, limits, fees and timing are confirmed after review.

What payroll teams get

01

One list, many employees

Submit the whole payroll as one batch instead of typing dozens of transfers one by one.

02

Name check for every account

See the bank-returned name next to each employee before paying, so a wrong digit does not pay the wrong person.

03

A receipt per person

Download or share a receipt for each employee, ready for questions like “has my salary been sent?”.

04

Prepare and approve separately

Give finance staff a sub-account to prepare payroll while the main account keeps approval and full visibility.

A monthly payroll run

1

Complete business review

Tell us who you pay in Nigeria, how often and roughly how much, and complete the applicable company verification.

2

Prepare the payroll list

For each person: full name, Nigerian bank, 10-digit account number, amount and a reference such as the pay month.

3

Check, submit and keep receipts

Fix any name mismatches, submit the batch, track each status and export receipts for your records.

Payroll payment questions

Can we pay dozens or hundreds of employees at once?+

Yes. Payroll can be submitted as a batch from your NGN balance; each person still gets a separate order, status and receipt. Batch size and limits are confirmed after review.

What if an employee's account name differs from our records?+

Hold that line and confirm with the employee before paying. Nicknames and missing middle names are common; a completely different name usually means a wrong account.

Does ElephantFX deduct PAYE tax or pension?+

No. ElephantFX pays the net amounts you submit. Tax, pension and other statutory deductions remain your company's responsibility.

Can we fund payroll from another currency?+

Payroll is paid from your NGN balance. Where an exchange service is available to your account, you can convert first and then pay; the rate and fees are shown before you confirm.
